for Father’s Day a few years ago. I had the habit of wearing a Batman shirt to Girl Scout camp, and since none of the other girls knew my name they started calling me Batman and one thing led to another. You can’t read the plate at the bottom but it says “You’re the Greatest Step Father” (they were young, and didn’t understand compound words yet). I had only been their stepdad for eighteen months.
I cried like a baby.

Planed on Thursday

Where is the end for Solomon Grundy?

Little Bo-Peep Has lost her sheep,
The radar has failed to find them.
They’ll all, face to face,
Meet in parallel space,
Preceding their leaders behind them.
————————————————–
This little pig built a spaceship,
This little pig paid the bill;
This little pig made isotopes,
This little pig ate a pill;
And this little pig did nothing at all,
But he’s just a little pig still.

A Follower of Goddard
And a rising Astrogator
Were agreed that superthermics
Was a spatial hot pertater.
They reached a Super-Nova
On a bicycle named Beta
And I’d tell you more about it
But they fused with all the data.

Probable-Possible, my black hen,
She lays eggs in the Relative When.
She doesn’t lay eggs in the Positive Now
Because she’s unable to Postulate How.

Plus-que-Possible, ma poule noire,
Elle pond ses oefs dans le Quand-Provisoire.
Elle ne pond point dans une periode sure
Car l’experience seraite bien trop dure.

Three jolly sailors from Blaydon-on-Tyne
They went to sea in a bottle by Klein.
Since the sea was entirely inside the hull
The scenery seen was exceedingly dull.
————————————————–
Little Jack Horner Sits in a corner
Extracting cube roots to infinity,
An assignment for boys
That will minimize noise
And produce a more peaceful vicinity.
————————————————–
Little Miss Muffet Sits on her tuffet
In a nonchalant sort of a way.
With her force field around her
The spider, the bounder,
Is not in the picture today.

This is the way the Agronomist rides:

This is the way that the Rocketman rides:
JATO! JATO!! JATO!!
(QUANTUM: The quantum is only a tittle or jot:
On a little theory hangs a lot.)

This is Just awesome: a girl who said "[w]hy choose between dressing as a sexy mermaid or a scary pirate when you could be both!" in the Kidnapped Mermaid Costume(tm) at Instructables.com. This is the same wonderful girl who made the Headless Bride Costume.
