There are some things which lend their description easily to pen, or tongue. This isn’t one of them.
The Emperor’s March March 18, 2009

This Faraday-caged gentleman and his well-tuned van de Graf generator perform The Emperor’s March from Star Wars.
I would be more impressed if the sparks came out of him, but this will have to do.
If at All Possible, Involve a Cow March 13, 2009

If at All Possible, Involve a Cow is perhaps the finest collection of, and explanation for, college pranks. It is an older book and doesn’t cover the nifty April 2006 prank, when students posing as the Howe & Ser Moving Company stole the 130 year old, 1.7 ton Fleming House cannon and moved it to their campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts,. "Howe & Ser" most obviously sounds like "howitzer" if read recognizing that the & symbol is a ligature of the Latin word "et", but it could also mean "how we answer" as a retaliation for 2005.
It doesn’t even include my brother-in-law’s revenge on that creep who checked out and destroyed all the copies of a book needed by the whole class for their final grade (Saint Mary’s College, Moraga, CA, in the late 1970’s. Nobody’s perfect).
They only turned a cow loose in his room over Spring Break for the whole weekend. Do you have any idea how much shit a cow can generate in one weekend?

This guy (kutiman) edits YouTube clips together to make Awesome songs. You can find more of these here. Be prepared to not leave your computer for a little while.
I found this through BoingBoing.net, the finest blog on the planet.
More sock puppets March 12, 2009

I’m pretty damned jealous of a guy named John Murphy. Not just that he has a name that anyone can spell, but because he makes the sweetest sock puppets. His site, www.stupidcreatures.com is adorable in its quirkiness:
You can apparently buy them.
And I thought my soctopus had something sweet to offer the world. Shows what I know.
Idiot-proof WALK sign March 9, 2009

I sold Girl Scout cookies on Market street for three days. I cannot help but notice that my fellow citizens are, by and large, knuckle-dragging troglodytes without the ability to spit directionally, not walk into a pole in the middle of the sidewalk and not cross against the light. Apparently the Department of Public Works has figured this out also, and erected the WALK signal buttons shown below. I can only wonder why they think they need to save the lives of these drags on humanity’s improvement:
I find the assumption that the target audience might be able to read overly generous.
Awesome Custom Bike Spotted on Market Street, San Francisco March 5, 2009

I was working security at my stepdaughter’s Girl Scout cookies corner when this awesome bike rode past. I flagged down the owner and made him pose with it at gunpoint.
The maker, Raymond Duarte, is an AV technician for a large screen video imaging company who didn’t mind stopping for a stranger and spending five minutes describing this little treasure (while he was stopped, four other people came up and took his picture).
There isn’t a visible screw thread on it. The wiring for the lights is entirely internal. He has patented lighting fixtures (must look that up). All the detailing is in twisted steel with chrome plating (including the chain guard!).
The wheels seem to be anodized aluminum (must check with him about this). And there’s a spare which is as sweet as the bike itself:
I could go on forever, but it is 12:45am, and I have been selling GS cookies for two days and I need rest.
I did get back to this and posted a stitched-together view of the beast:
